The Ostrich is a huge and dorky looking bird, but they have great personalities.
While in the crater, we got pretty intimate with this huge elephant.
We spent the following day At Lake Manyara. Lake Manyara is home to hippos, zebras, giraffe, buffalo, lions and amazing bird life. We liked the park because of its lush, green surroundings.
As soon as we entered the park we were surrounded by baboons and a family of elephants. Beda gave the elephants their distance this time. However, this van decided to get a closer look. Soon the curious elephants began to surround the vehicle. Eventually, the elephants lost interest and the terrified occupants of the vehicle were able to move on.

The journey back towards Arusha and Moshi was a cultural safari. We passed the Maasai villages and the small towns. We passed Maasai farmers, women carrying bowls of fruit on top of their heads and entrepreneurs selling clothing at the side of the road.
During one of our stops, we were approached by some Maasai women. We were delighted to talk to these friendly women who wanted to sell us their beaded jewelry. When we ran out of small change for the jewelry, they asked for soap. This struck a cord. Luckily we had five bars of soap to give our friends, as we did not want to leave anyone out.
